About Garside Waddingham
Garside Waddingham was founded in Preston in January 1989 by John Waddingham MRICS and Richard Garside FRICS, both of whom had many years experience valuing and reporting on property in the North West region. It provides sound property advice on both residential and commercial properties for a wide variety of clients, including private individuals, banks, financial institutions, companies, housing associations, solicitors, accountants and developers. Enjoying continued success, the company relocated to their existing purpose-built high profile office in the heart of the city centre in 1994.
Our surveyors have a wide breadth of experience and knowledge totalling over 120 years. They are well acquainted with the geographical areas we serve, including the whole of Lancashire, South Cumbria, Greater Manchester, Merseyside, Chester and North Wales.
John Waddingham and Richard Garside are both members of the Expert Surveyors Group, undertaking CPR compliant reports for dispute and litigation purposes.
Karl Newton specialises in property in Merseyside, Chester and North Wales; Greg Hoyle has unrivalled knowledge of the Fylde Coast; and Paul Jones is a highly experienced residential surveyor covering all of Lancashire. The surveyors are fully assisted by an efficient and experienced administrative team.
Our service was expanded to incorporate a lettings agency in 1991, providing sound professional advice to both private and corporate landlords. Our lettings department manages residential properties throughout the city of Preston and its environs. Located in the city centre, it provides a convenient and welcome service to tenants. The lettings department also has many years experience and are fully conversant with the requirements and potential problems of letting and managing residential properties, as well as being sympathetic to tenants’ requirements. Our services are tailor made to individual needs and the cost to both landlords and tenants is extremely competitive and significantly cheaper than those charged by large corporate agents.
Both departments are regulated by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and The Property Ombudsman.
